What is a Meta Tag Generator?
Meta tags are snippets of HTML that sit inside your page's <head> section and tell search engines and social platforms how to display your content. A missing or poorly written meta description costs you clicks even when you rank — Google shows meta descriptions in search snippets, and a blank one is auto-generated from page text (usually poorly).

Tips to get the most out of it
Every page should have a unique title and description. Duplicate meta tags cause keyword cannibalisation and confuse search engines about which page to rank for a given query.
Include the primary keyword in the first 30 characters of the title — Google boldens matching keywords in snippets and users scan the beginning first.
Meta descriptions do not directly affect rankings, but they heavily affect click-through rate (CTR). A well-written description with a clear benefit and call to action can increase organic CTR by 20–30%.
Upload OG images to a CDN or stable URL — social platforms cache OG images aggressively. If you change the image, append a version param (?v=2) to the URL.
Test OG tags with Facebook's Sharing Debugger and Twitter's Card Validator before launching a campaign. Both tools show a preview and help clear the cache.

No — Google rewrites descriptions about 62% of the time (based on Semrush data). It tends to rewrite when the description doesn't match search intent well. Write a good description anyway — it reduces rewrites and controls how links look on social platforms (Google only controls search, not OG).
Google displays titles up to ~600px wide, which is roughly 50–60 characters for most fonts. Aim for 50–58 chars to be safe. Longer titles are truncated with an ellipsis in search results.
1200×630 pixels (1.91:1 ratio). Facebook minimum is 600×315. Twitter card (summary_large_image) also renders best at 1200×630. Keep file size under 1MB for fast loading.
A canonical tag tells search engines "this is the original version of this page." You need it if your page can be accessed via multiple URLs (www vs non-www, http vs https, with/without trailing slash, paginated versions). Without it, you risk PageRank dilution.
