Bizeract vs LegalWiz

LegalWiz is an online legal and compliance platform. Bizeract is a CA firm. Both will get you a GSTIN. The difference shows up in month four, not week one, which is what this comparison is about.

TL;DR
  • LegalWiz is a platform: fixed-fee packages, a clean interface, and a service desk that handles the transaction.
  • Bizeract is a firm: a named CA who owns your file across registration, filing, notices and the following year.
  • For a one-off registration and nothing after it, a platform is a reasonable choice.
  • For anything with a second act, notices, multiple GSTINs, exports, ITC disputes, continuity is the thing you are actually buying.

What LegalWiz is genuinely good at

LegalWiz belongs to the online legal-services category, and the category exists because it solved a real problem. Before it, getting a company registered or a trademark filed meant finding a local professional, agreeing a fee with no reference point, and hoping. Platforms replaced that with a listed price, a defined scope and a status page.

Their catalogue is broader on the legal side than ours. Trademark filing, IP work and the surrounding registrations are a core part of what they do and are not something we offer in-house. If your immediate need is a trademark alongside a registration, that is a genuine reason to use them rather than us.

For a single transaction with a clear boundary, get registered, file this one thing, the platform model works. You know the fee, the scope is written down, and there is a desk to chase.

Where a firm differs from a platform

The platform model optimises for the transaction. That is its strength and also where it runs out. Compliance is not a transaction; it is a sequence where each step depends on what was decided in the last one.

A concrete example. The activity codes and place-of-business declared at registration determine what your invoices should look like, which determines what your first GSTR-1 should contain, which determines whether your buyer gets their credit. When those are decided by a desk that will not see your file again, nobody carries the thread. When a notice arrives in month seven referencing the registration, the person reading it is starting from zero.

Our model is the other trade. You get one CA who made the original decisions and is still there when they matter. That is worth less on day one and considerably more by the second quarter.

GST registration specifically

On registration itself the mechanical steps are the same wherever you go: REG-01 Part A and Part B, TRN, ARN, Aadhaar authentication, REG-06. Nobody has a faster portal than anybody else.

Two things do differ. The first is whether documents are reviewed before filing or simply submitted as received, which is what separates an application that clears from one that draws a query over an address proof. The second is whether the Rule 14A route is assessed for you at all. Rule 14A came in on 1 November 2025 and grants the GSTIN in three working days for applicants under ₹2.5 lakh of monthly B2B output tax. Most small applicants qualify, and many are never told it exists.

If you are comparing quotes, those are the two questions worth asking whoever you speak to, us included.

When you should pick LegalWiz over Bizeract

Pick LegalWiz if your need is trademark or IP work, which we do not do in-house. Pick them if you want a single fixed fee for one transaction with no ongoing relationship, and you are comfortable handling the compliance that follows yourself.

Pick Bizeract if you want the same person across registration, monthly filing, notices and next year, or if your situation has more than one moving part: multiple GSTINs, exports and a LUT, ITC disputes, or a marketplace onboarding on a deadline.

If you are genuinely unsure, the honest answer is that a one-off registration is a small enough decision that either will do. The choice matters at the point you need someone to remember why a decision was made eight months ago.

How we wrote this comparison

This comparison is written by our practising CA team, not a content marketing agency. The aim is to help you pick the right partner for your business — even when that means recommending the competitor.

  1. We pulled the competitor's pricing directly from their public website on the published date of this comparison. Where pricing is gated behind a sales call, we noted that explicitly.
  2. Service-model claims (self-serve vs assisted vs full-service) are based on each firm's own published descriptions, plus first-hand experience helping 30+ clients migrate from competitor platforms over the last 24 months.
  3. Customer-experience claims (response times, hidden fees, ownership gaps) are sourced from a) consumer-forum threads on MouthShut, ConsumerComplaints, and Reddit /r/IndiaInvestments, b) Trustpilot reviews where available, c) feedback from migrated clients about why they switched.
  4. Statutory references (GST sections, ROC forms, Income Tax sections) are linked to the official notification or section, not to a third-party blog. If we cite a penalty, we link the source.
  5. We refresh comparison pages every 6 months. Last refresh date is listed at the top of each page.

Bias and limitations

  • We are not unbiased — we run a competing firm, and we will fail to be perfectly neutral. Read this comparison alongside the competitor's own marketing pages, not in place of them.
  • Pricing in this market shifts often. Always confirm the current quote on the competitor's site before signing up.
  • No competitor named here has paid for placement, sponsored content, or asked for a review. We do not earn affiliate fees from any platform we compare against.

Verify the claims yourself

This page deliberately quotes no price for LegalWiz. We could not verify their current published pricing when it was written, and we would rather say so than repeat a figure from a third party. Feature and model claims reflect their publicly described offering as of September 2026. We refresh this page every 6 months, but the fastest way to confirm any specific number is to check the source directly. The competitor\'s own site is at legalwiz.in; our public pricing is at /pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Bizeract vs LegalWiz — your questions

We publish ₹799 all-in for GST registration including the first month of filing. We are not quoting a figure for LegalWiz, because we could not verify their current published pricing at the time of writing and the numbers circulating elsewhere come from competitor-authored ranking articles. Check their site directly and compare what each fee actually includes, particularly whether the first filing cycle after registration is inside the price or billed separately.

Not in-house. Trademark and IP work is a core part of what platforms like LegalWiz offer and is not something we take on. Where a client needs it we refer rather than stretch into work we cannot own end to end.

Yes, and it is common. We review the registration as it was filed, check the activity codes, place of business and signatory details against what you actually do, and pick up filing from the next cycle. Where something was declared incorrectly at registration we handle the amendment in Form REG-14.

Yes. The same person handles your registration, your filings and any notice that arrives afterwards. That continuity is the main structural difference between a firm and a platform, and it is what you are paying for.

Neither, on the portal itself. The statutory route is the same for everyone: three working days under Rule 14A for eligible applicants, longer on the normal route if the application goes for verification. What changes the real timeline is whether documents were checked before filing, because a query costs a fortnight regardless of who filed it.
