What is GST Registration?
A partnership firm registers for GST using the firm's PAN (not individual partners' PANs). Along with the firm PAN, the partnership deed, each partner's PAN + Aadhaar, authorised signatory details, firm address proof, and bank proof are required. The deed wording around authorised signatory and profit-sharing matters during officer review.
Unregistered partnerships can still register for GST — a notarised deed works even if the firm isn't registered under the Partnership Act. We've done both. What we catch before filing: missing firm PAN, deed signatures inconsistent with partner KYC, stale deed clauses that contradict declared activity.
Who Needs GST Registration?
How GST registration works
A visible process from document collection to GSTIN delivery, with status updates along the way.
Deed and signatory checked
We read the partnership deed for the firm name, business activity, partner list and who may sign, because the officer checks the application against the deed.
Firm PAN and partner KYC
The application is filed on the firm’s PAN. Each partner’s PAN, Aadhaar and photo are attached, and the authorised signatory completes Aadhaar authentication.
REG-01 filed, ARN issued
We file Part A and Part B with the deed, authorisation letter and address proof, then share the ARN so you can track the application.
GSTIN in the firm’s name
The GSTIN and REG-06 certificate are issued to the firm. If the officer raises a query, we reply within the 7-working-day window.
Documents needed for GST registration
We confirm which documents apply to your entity type before filing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which PAN is used for partnership GST registration?
The firm's PAN — not individual partners' PANs. If your firm doesn't have a PAN yet, you apply for firm PAN first (we help with that as an add-on). Partners' PANs are submitted as signatory KYC.
Does the partnership need to be registered under the Partnership Act?
No. GST accepts both registered and unregistered partnerships. A notarised deed is enough — we verify the deed for GST-acceptable clauses before filing.
Do all partners need to sign the GST application?
No. One authorised signatory (named in the deed or via a board-style resolution) handles the filing. Other partners' KYC is attached as supporting.
Is DSC mandatory for partnership GST?
Not mandatory. Aadhaar-based e-Sign works for partnerships. DSC only becomes mandatory for LLPs and companies.
Can a partnership opt for Composition Scheme?
Yes if turnover is under ₹1.5 crore and you sell only intra-state. Flat 1% (traders) or 5% (restaurants). We evaluate fit case by case.
